A London-based hedge funder just bought Oprah Winfrey's 57th Street penthouse apartment in New York, according to a press release.
Mark Hillery, a partner at European hedge fund behemoth Brevan Howard, and his wife Melissa bought the Place 57 apartment for $7.9 million, Curbed reported.
Prior to joining Brevan Howard in 2009, Hillery was one of the top paid star traders at Paul Tudor Jones' Tudor Investment Co.
Now the hedge funder and his wife have a beautiful 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath, 2,530-square-foot penthouse apartment with floor to ceiling windows to decorate. The apartment also features a 768-square-foot terrace with gorgeous views of the city.
What's more is the place was barely used by the former daytime talk show host. It's definitely a dream home and we're going to take a tour.
