Plaza Apt 301

An apartment in New York's Plaza Hotel has hit the market for an insane asking price.

Florida-based philanthropist and retired insurance tycoon Barry Kaye and his wife Carol Kaye have discounted their sprawling apartment at New York's Plaza Hotel by 30%, Curbed reports.

The third-floor apartment had been listed for a whopping $49.5 million in August. The current price is a relatively paltry $35 million.

The 3,412-square-foot pad has three bedrooms, two master bathrooms, access to the Plaza's spa and gym, and views of Central Park in every room.

The apartment was built from two former state rooms, which the Kayes bought in 2008 for $13.6 million.

The Plaza Hotel is one of New York's most iconic buildings and sits right at the foot of Central Park.

It's also the place that a lucky few call home. Barry and Carol Kaye bought two former staterooms on the third floor for $13.6 million in 2008. They are now selling the converted apartment for $35 million after knocking $15 million off the price.

The massive living room includes a 13-foot-high ceiling with a recessed coffer.

Palm Beach Garden Mansion 3

A Palm Beach Gardens mansion with Italian Renaissance- and French Baroque-revival details just listed for $30 million, according to Curbed Miami.

That makes it the most expensive property for sale in the neighborhood.

The home is quite ornate — it has marble floors, hand carved ceilings, and a whopping 40 chandeliers, not to mention six bedrooms and a ballroom.

The Palazzo Grande Mansion was built in 2005 to mimic the romance and luxury of a 16th Century Italian Renaissance-style villa. The land was sold to the builders of the house in 2002 for a measly $111,600.

The exterior was made with a cast-stone marble veneer. The front portico features Corinthian columns meant to emulate the east side of the Louvre in Paris.

The luxury doesn't stop as you enter the house and make your way to the kitchen. Limestone walls, cherry cabinetry, granite countertops, and the very top-of-the-line appliances, including two Sub-Zero refrigerators and two dishwashers. A Venetian-style ceiling completes the look.

HOUSE OF THE DAY: Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Are Reportedly Expanding Their $20 Million LA Property

kimye home new propertyKim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly buying the home next door to their new $20 million mansion, according to The Daily Mail.

An outdated ranch-style home with 1.49 acres of land went on sale for $2.92 million right next door to Kim and Kanye’s French country-style home in Hidden Hills.

It was bought on December 15th by a company called Safari View LLC for $2.92 million and the deed was then transferred to the Noel Roberts Trust. Curbed linked the Noel Roberts Trust to the Bel Air mansion that Kim and Kanye are currently selling, as well as Kanye’s old Hollywood Hills home.

The pair are most likely looking to extend their property and gain more privacy for themselves and their daughter North. They will probably demolish the current home and do some serious landscaping, bringing their total property acreage to 5.

The Wests already own the $20 million mansion next door with 15,600 square feet. The estate was once owned by Lisa Marie Presley, but her original mansion was razed in 2010 by the then-owner who built the current eight-bedroom spread on the property.

In addition to all their new real estate, Kimye — who were still living in Kim’s mother Kris Jenner’s home until recently — will enjoy two spas, a vineyard, two swimming pools, and more on their new property.

"I am so ready to be out of my mom's house, you have no idea," Kim told People magazine. "We wanted to be away and have more privacy ... but it will be nice to still be close."

Kim and Kanye bought this 8,000-square-foot estate in Hidden Hills in August — right down the street from Kim's mom's house, where the couple had previously been staying with baby North.

Now it's been revealed they also picked up the next door property (outlined in yellow). It will add roughly 1.5 acres to Kim and Kanye's 3.5 acre estate (in red).

The couple's new home — which boasts a very grand entrance —was previously owned by Elvis' daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.

The Manhattan Mansion Roman Abramovich Almost Bought Is Now Available To Rent For $80,000 A Month

roman abramovich 828 Fifth Avenue Triplex

The gorgeous Fifth Avenue mansion that Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich almost bought for $75 million is now available to rent for $80,000 a month, according to Curbed New York.

The rent was price chopped from the original $150,000-a-month asking price from back in October, presumably from lack of interest.

Now the triplex is back, this time for almost half the rent. Curbed reports that the owner, heiress Angelika Ivanc, is spending time out of town with her children and is hoping to find a suitable tenant.

More than a year ago, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich was in contract to purchase three of the five apartments in the building at 828 Fifth Avenue from the family of late British real estate developer Howard Ronson, which included the penthouse, a triplex, and a duplex apartment.

The deal fell through after the seller — Ronson's widow, Ivanc — reportedly held out because she thought she could get more money from the Russian mogul.

Abramovich had reportedly bought another apartment in the building, and was trying to purchase the final unit so he could restore the mansion to its former glory. Now it looks like that dream may never happen.

But for those with $80,000 to throw around each month, the eight-bedroom co-op is now available to rent on Stribling & Associates as well as Sotheby's real estate.

An interesting mix of classic and modern with tall ceilings and eight bedrooms, the home even has a rooftop terrace that looks out over Central Park.

The Manhattan townhouse sits directly across from Central Park Zoo.

It's currently divided up into five units.

Abramovich was hoping to buy them all and create a single-family mansion.

River House

A quirky apartment in an exclusive co-op building on Manhattan's east side is on the market for $12.75 million, according to Curbed.

The River House was built in 1931 in an art deco style. Until 2013, the co-op board forbid listings to include the name of the building or its address. It's also turned away a number of applicants, including Richard Nixon, Diane Keaton, Joan Crawford, and Gloria Vanderbilt.

The apartment is located on the 14th floor and has a terrace that overlooks the East River.

Sotheby's realtor Nikki E. Field has the listing.

When the current owners of this Paris mansion bought a dilapidated workshop built by Gustave Eiffel (yes, that Eiffel), they intended to turn it into a commercial space.

However, the correct permits were tough to obtain, so they instead converted the former factory into a gorgeous three-floor mansion, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The roof and many of the details are original, but are tastefully mixed throughout the home with added consciences. Wrought iron is on display throughout, and the light let in by the huge windows brightens up the entire home.

The current owners are selling the property for $11.5 million because it is now too big for them. They will use the proceeds to sail around the world.

France's Emile Garcin Properties has the listing.

This isn't your typical loft-style conversion. This spectacular space was converted from a factory built in the early 20th century roughly 3 years ago.
