Wooldon Manor vince camuto house

Shoe tycoon Vince Camuto and his former beauty queen wife have put their historic Southampton estate on the market for a staggering $48 million price tag.

Known as Wooldon Manor, the mansion has approximately 10,000 square feet of space, and sits on over five acres of land with views of the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Agawam. It's currently being sold through Sotheby's International Realty.

The estate — which has a gorgeous pool, pool house, formal gardens, a romantic green house, and tennis court — was previously owned by both the Woolworth family and Edmund Lynch, a founding partner of Merrill Lynch.

According to celebrity real estate blog The Real Estalker, the Camutos redecorated the famous home after purchasing the 14.29 acres of land it sits on. Though the current price includes the home plus five and a quarter acres of land, the listing hints that the nine additional acres the couple owns can also be purchased (for an additional fee, of course).

Wooldon Manor sits on the iconic oceanfront drive, Gin Lane.

New Photos Of The Opulent Versace Mansion In Miami

The infamous Versace Mansion in Miami has had a rough time on the real estate market.

It was originally listed back in June 2012 for $125 million, making it one of the most expensive homes in America at the time.

A few months later, it was price-chopped down to $100 million, then $75 million, and now the estate is headed for bankruptcy auction this September.

Jill Eber of real estate agency The Jills confirmed to The Real Deal that bidders will need to deposit $3 million into escrow and show proof of funds of $40 million to participate. The auction will take place at the storied mansion, which is now a boutique hotel known as Casa Casuarina.

Versace originally bought the home in 1992 for $10 million and invested $33 million into the property, adding a 6,100-square-foot south wing, a 54-foot-long mosaic-tiled pool (lined with 24 karat gold), and frescoes on the home's walls and ceiling.

The fashion designer was murdered outside the property in 1997 by Andrew Cunanan. Tourists and fans still visit the home to take pictures on the steps where Versace died, which could explain why the estate has had so much trouble finding a buyer.

Reuters recently took new pictures of the palatial mansion in advance of September's auction, and it's looking more opulent than ever.

Welcome to 1116 Ocean Drive in Miami, the infamous Versace Mansion. These are the steps where fashion designer Gianni Versace was murdered in 1997.

Versace originally bought the home in 1992 and spent $33 million renovating it.

Richard Gere Hamptons Mansion $65 million

Real estate blog Curbed Hamptons is reporting that Richard Gere has listed his North Haven home for a whopping $65 million.

The 6.3-acre estate, known as Strongheart Manor ,was built in 1902, and comes with two guest houses, an outdoor fireplace pavilion, and a dock that looks out on the water.

It's been renovated and expanded to include twelve bedrooms and over 12,000 square feet of space, and is currently available through Sotheby's International Realty.

And though the home is nice, we can't help but agree with Curbed Hamptons that the house is rather normal looking, and not worth the outrageous $65 million price tag.

stefano gabbana mark hotel $60 million penthouseThe New York Post is reporting that Stefano Gabbana (of Dolce & Gabbana fame) is a new potential buyer for the penthouse on top of Manhattan's Mark Hotel.

He was seen taking a tour of the $60 million pad in the midst of Dolce & Gabbana's legal trouble in Italy: The fashion duo were recently sentenced to 20 months in jail and a fine of €343 million ($455 million) after being accused of tax evasion.

They are currently appealing the ruling, but if it stands the famous fashion powerhouse could be forced to close, Domenico Dolce told Forbes.

The $60 million, 9,800-square-foot penthouse, which has been on the market since March, is one of 10 co-ops inside the 150-room hotel. It has six bedrooms, several galleries, a skylit conservatory, and a wraparound terrace that adds another 2,400 square feet of space.

The 16-story hotel, located on 77th St. and Madison Ave., was originally built in 1927.

The interior of the hotel and 10 co-ops were designed by award-winning French designer Jacques Grange.

Notorious real estate addicts Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are once again selling a property, this time a lovely equestrian spread in the Hidden Valley area of Thousand Oaks.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the 26-acre California estate has just gone back up for sale this week for $10.995 million. The couple previously bought the ranch back in 2009 for $8.5 million, and listed it in 2011 for $16.5 million before lowering the price and eventually taking it off the market.

But now after a recent April feature in ELLE DECOR, it seems they've decided to try their luck one more time.

Described to ELLE as Portia's "dream home," the contemporary farmhouse-style estate is near the Santa Monica Mountains, and has two barns, a "yoga pavilion," stables, and a tennis court.

Last month, "South Park" co-creator Trey Parker bought a gorgeous seven-bedroom mansion in Los Angeles for over $13.89 million, according to real estate blog The Real Estalker.

The Spanish Colonial estate was listed through Prudential California Realty agent David Offer.

Perhaps Parker's purchase is tied to the fact that he'll soon be having a baby with his long-time girlfriend Boogie Tillmo.

The new home of the "Book of Mormon" co-writer is located in LA's Brentwood neighborhood, and has over 10,000 square feet of property filled with hardwood floors, stenciled ceiling beams, and hand-painted tiles.

It also comes with a whole-house sound system, solar heating, pool house, and at least seven wood-burning fireplaces.

HOUSE OF THE DAY: Jenna Lyons Bought A $6 Million Fixer-Upper Loft In SoHo

lyons loft soho $6 million

After selling her gorgeous townhouse in Park Slope, Brooklyn, back in March 2012, the fashion world was eagerly waiting to see where J. Crew's president and creative director Jenna Lyons would live next.

And now, nearly two years after first listing the home, Lyons has won a bidding war on a 3,500-square-foot loft in Manhattan's trendy SoHo neighborhood, according to Curbed.

Real estate listing website StreetEasy says that the fashion designer paid $500,000 over the asking price. And judging by the property photos, she'll probably spend even more renovating the space to attain her former Park Slope townhouse's splendor.

But Lyons — one of the most influential people in America— won't be hemorrhaging money, especially because monthly maintenance for the home is only $200, which the listing says is due to income from the building's ground floor retail space (which is sadly not a J. Crew store).

Take A Tour Of The Hamptons Mansion The Clintons Are Renting This Summer

bill and hillary sagaponack rental home hamptons 2013The New York Times is reporting that Bill and Hillary Clinton will be enjoying their Hamptons downtime in a different mansion than the one they usually rent this month.

For the past two years, the Clintons have stayed at the East Hampton home of real estate developer Elie Hirschfeld.

This year, however, they're renting the $200,000-a-month Sagaponack mansion of Republican donor Michael Saperstein, according to The Daily Mail.

Hirschfeld says the reason the Clintons aren't returning to his oceanfront house this year was because he didn't rent it out, but the Times counters that Bill and Hillary didn't want to return anyway since they lost a large chunk of their deposit from landscaping and utility costs last year.

"There was an issue with the security deposit last summer,"a source told The New York Post. "The Clintons were dissatisfied with how much money they got back.”

The political power couple will instead be moving into Saperstein's Sagaponack home this weekend. Their new rental is a 6-bedroom mansion with beach access, a heated pool, and a gym.

Jenny From The Block had a house guest and didn't even know it.

The singer-actress was away when workers found him.

Lopez purchased the Water Mill mansion in the Hamptons for $9.995 million in May, the New York Post reported.

The 8,660-square-foot home was built in 2004, according to Zillow, and sits on three acres of property on Bay Lane with its own cul de sac, so it's incredibly private.

Wayne Newton $70 Million Ranch Las Vegas

"Casa de Shenandoah," the Las Vegas home owned by singer Wayne Newton  aka Mr. Las Vegas  for more than 45 years, is being sold for a whopping $70 million.

Listed on real estate website Redfin, the 36-acre property has over eight separate homes, a huge garage, 37 stables, a tennis court, and even its own jumbo jet and terminal.

Even crazier, it once had a functioning zoo with Arabian horses, sloths, penguins, lemurs, and more than 100 birds.

Newton and his family lived at the ranch from the 1960s to 2010, when it was purchased by CSD LLC for $19.5 million to help the Newtons out of bankruptcy, according to the Associated Press. Originally, there were plans to turn the main home into a Wayne Newton-themed theme park with a gift shop and dinner theater.

But that dream fell through after an ugly legal battle between the Newtons and CSD. Developers claimed Newton would not move out of the mansion or hand over paraphernalia for the museum, while Newton claimed his family had nowhere to relocate and was unhappy with how the property was being looked after.

Newton finally settled this summer for an undisclosed sum and left. The animals have since been sold to wildlife centers, according to Redfin, and now a Las Vegas judge has greenlit Casa de Shenandoah's sale, though it still remains to be seen whether or not anyone will pay the exorbitant $70 million price tag.

The main house at Casa de Shenandoah is a two-story structure with three bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, and more than 9,000 square feet.

There's also a nice swimming pool in the backyard.

The entire property spans 36 acres, and has eight separate homes.

The infamous property was bought today by the Nakash family, owners of iconic '80s denim brand Jordache, according to The Real Deal. The Nakash's company, VM South Beach, is the chief creditor in the mansion's foreclosure case.

The Versace Mansion had trouble finding a buyer from the get-go. Originally listed for $125 million in June of 2012, the home was the most expensive in America at the time.

A few months later, however, it was price-chopped down to $100 million, then $75 million, and finally slated for bankruptcy auction.

The Nakash family reportedly plans to turn the storied mansion into a boutique hotel bearing Versace's name.

Fashion designer Gianni Versace originally bought the home in 1992 for $10 million, and invested $33 million into the property, adding a 6,100-square-foot wing, 54-foot-long mosaic-tiled pool (lined with 24-karat gold), and frescoes on the home's walls and ceilings.
